AUSTIN -- The funeral for Hazel M. Winkels will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Burial will be in the Dexter Cemetery. Mrs. Winkels, 85, of 404 Sixth Place N.W., died this morning (July 3, 1996) at Burr Oak Manor in Austin. Hazel M. Ulven was born Sept. 20, 1910, in Adams. She married Casper Winkels Oct. 23, 1970, in Austin. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sandra (Mrs. Gordon) Unverzagt of Dexter; a son, Henry Wilmot of Owatonna; a stepson, Peter Winkels of Rose Creek; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Lorenzen of Grand Meadow. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Wilmot, five brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
