Eva Searcy died in the collapse of the three story Odd Fellows building on the McKinney Square. Fifty or sixty people lost their lives. Miss Eva Searcy, aged 25 years, who was carried to the Crouch-Hertzog undertaking establishment as soon as she was rescued, died about 20 minutes after she was taken there. The body was taken to the family home on Heard Street as soon as it had been prepared for burial. The funeral services will be held at the Central Presbyterian Church, of which church she was a member, assisted by Rev. C.L. Dickey of Plano. Interment will be made in the Pecan Grove Cemetery. Miss Searcy was born near Rhea Mill, but was reared in this city. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Searcy. She is survived by her parents, and four sisters, Misses Beulah, Lula, Ada, and Creola, all at home, and two brothers, Elwood of Oregon, and Leonard, who is still at home.
