Bio
Frank Henry Remington was born Sept. 5, 1891, in Mower County the son of William Remington and Gusty Colton. He attended Dexter Township Grade School and farmed in the Dexter and Spring Valley localities until coming to Austin in 1926. He was united in marriage with Lyle Herron on Nov. 12,1919, at Austin. Mr. Remington was engaged in farming and employed by Geo. A. Hormel & Co. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. The past 24 years he resided at 702 12 Ave NW. Mr. Remington died Feb. 18. Surviving are his wife; a son, Charles of Austin; a daughter, Margaret Reul, Rock Falls, ILL., a foster son, Eugene Wilson, Hay Creek, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Fern Wilson, Taopi; 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21, at the Worlein Funeral Home, Dr. William Law officitaing. Interment was at Grand View Memorial Gardens with Worlein Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Out of town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Herron, Syracuse, Kan.; Mrs. Carl Fritz, Neil Herron, Morton Herron, Wilford James Herron, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Cecil Cole, Osage; Robert Wilson, Mrs. Donald Wrench, St.Ansgar; Mr. and Mrs. Don Wilson, Mr. and Mrs.Richard Wilson, Osage; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bailey, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wilson, Hay Creek; Mrs. Glen Remington, Dexter; Mr. and Mrs. Fern Wilson and Glen, Taopi.
