Thanks to contributor #48796369 Patricia "Pat" Fletcher, 59, of Litchfield died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 1998 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998 at the Litchfield Christian Church in Litchfield. Rev. Ken Woolery officiated. Burial was in the Litchfield Cemetery. Music was provided by John Cherry and Lois Jane Dittmer. Honorary pallbearers were Ben Rhoads, Kent Fletcher, John Fletcher, Jr., Dalen Wood, Monte Fletcher, Charley Robertson, John LeFever and Dan Siegel. Patricia Fletcher was born Dec. 21, 1938 in Litchfield, to Henry and Grace (Horton) Franssen. At the age of three she moved with her family to a farm northeast of Litchfield. She attended school in Litchfield. She married Donald Fletcher on June 27, 1955 at Loup City. The couple made their home on a farm northest of Litchfield until 1977 when they moved to Litchfield. Mrs. Fletcher had worked at Henningson Foods in Ravenna and owned and operated F & F Repair in Litchfield from 1976 until 1984. She also drove a school bus for the Litchfield and Hazard School. She worked as a cook for the Hazard Cafe and operated the Eastside Cafe in Litchfield for one year. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Christian Church in Litchfield and helped with the youth group there. She was a member of the Eldergrove Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was Cub Scout leader for eight years and started Girl Scouts in Litchfield and was a leader for six years. She was also on the Old Settlers Board in Litchfield where she made arrangements for the parade for 12 years. She also wrote the Litchfield news for the Sherman County Times. Mrs. Fletcher enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts, growing flowers and camping and fishing. Survivors include her husband, Donald of Litchfield; mother, Grace Rolfsmeyer of Kearney; one daughter, Peggy Root of Loup City; two sons, Henry Fletcher and Jim Fletcher, both of Litchfield; a niece, Susie Becker, who was raised in the Fletcher home; two sisters, Penny Criss of Pleasanton and Jinnie Riely; four grandchildren and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her father, her step father, Walter Rolfsmeyer and one grandson. Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna was in charge of arrangements.
