Born on September 14, 1920 in Bryson, Texas, died at his place of residence on his birthday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 93. He married his wife Geraldine Blakey Chambers on December 22, 1941 in Carlsbad, NM before receiving training at St. Olag College in Minnesota. He subsequently entered the Navy where he served as a pilot. Afterward, he returned to Lea County where he and his brother farmed at McDonald, NM. He then returned to Lovington where he worked and retired from City Service Oil Company. After retirement, he enjoyed an active lifestyle including fishing at their place in Del Rio, golfing, and travel. He was a long time member of First Christian Church Kenneth was preceded in death by four siblings, his daughter, Bonnie Murph, son-in-law, Bill Dye, and his great grandson. Blair Arnspiger. He is survived by his wife, Gerry of the home, his daughter, Charline Dye, son-in-law, Dudley Murph; Grandchildren; Brenda Pflaum, Philip Murph, Kenny Dye and Denise Murph. Eight great grandchildren and two great, great, grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers: Wade Shipley, J.L. Bussell, Bob Boyd, John Boyd, Gary Cothran, Ross Black aned Leon Farris. All friends and family are invited to attend graveside services at Lovington Cemetery, on Gum Street.
