Bio
Raylene Cooper Banks, 66, died June 19, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Raylene was born April 14, 1938, to Ray and Wilma Huddleston Cooper in Alba. She married her best friend and life long love, J. E. Banks on April 18, 1959. They celebrated their 45th anniversary this year. She retired from the Greenville Independent School District where she worked as a paraprofessional for several years. After her retirement, she began her favorite job of being a grandmother. Above all, Raylene loved her family and we were blessed by her love. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; son Kevin Banks of Orlando, Florida.; daughters Allison Wooden and husband Bradley of Longview and Andrea Lara and husband Jimmy of Greenville and granddaughters Danielle Wooden and Hanna Lara. She was preceded in death by her father; her mother and a brother, Mike Cooper. A funeral service is scheduled at 10 A.M. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Arnold and Glen Steed officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Churchill, Bob Byrd, Hewitt Moseley, Don Taylor, Chuck Marion and Joe Dale Huddleston. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 22nd at the funeral home.
