Bio
Francis is a daughter of John Rowley and Frances Banks. Her father had come to Utah in the Willie Handcart Company. Her mother had come from Australia where her family had joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They sailed across the Pacific Ocean and then trekked from California. John and Frances were very young when they married. John was just 18, Frances was 14. Their first child died when he was born. This child lived only six months and according to her mother's history, died from falling into a tub of scalding water. The parents weren't getting along anyway and their daughter's death seems to be the last straw. The marriage ended and both parents latter married other spouses.
