OBITUARY- Helen Chapek Remington, 78, of Austin, died April 27, 2001, at her home. She was born Nov.18, 1922, in Glenville, Minn., to Edward and Marie (Svejkovsky) Chapek. A lifelong resident of Austin, Helen was active in the church for many years and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was very proud of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Stanley; and daughter Annette Marie. Survivors include: her husband, Charles Remington, Austin; son, Ray (Cheryl) Remington, Austin; daughter, LaVonne (Edward) Mathewson, Maple Grove, Minn.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Service: At 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Austin, with the Rev. Patricia Toschak officiating and Worlein Funeral Home of Austin in charge of arrangements. Visitation: Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church an hour before the service. Interment: Grandview Memorial Gardens.
