Paris, Texas. Lamar County Echo. July 1978 Mrs. Vincent Jay, 89, of 845 SE 41st. St., died in a local hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Horn-Harris-Crouch Funeral Home in McKinney with the Rev. Gary Regan officiating. Burial was made in Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home transferred the body to McKinney. Eula Bomar Jay was born January 11, 1889 in Collin County, the daughter of William Bomar and Ida Ann Dunn Bomar. She attended Collin County schools and married Vincent Jay, who preceeded her in death in 1956. At that time she moved to Commerce to live with her daughter, Mrs. Travis King, later moving to Nacodoches with them and then to Paris when Mrs. King was made manager of Texas Power and Light Company here. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Nacogoches. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Travis King; three sons Clyde G. Jay of Dallas, Jesse E. Jay of Sachse, and William R. Jay of Hurst; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Josie Bomar of McKinney and Linda Wright of Dallas.
