Copied with permission from the Shawnee News-Star: August 23, 2005: Long time Chandler resident Sue Marguerite White, 96, departed this life on Monday, Aug. 22, in Stillwater. She was born on Oct. 19, 1908, in Altus to Dillon and Alma (Bryce) Patterson. She was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in the class of 1929 with a bachelor degree of Fine Arts. She was married June 5, 1929 at 6 a.m. in Norman to Clifford L. White. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1975. Sue was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Chandler, a member of the Lincoln County Historical Society, Lincoln County on Stage and numerous other local organizations. She also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law, Jack E. and Camilla White of Oklahoma City, Carl and Vonne White of Terra Haute, Ind.; two daughters & sons-in-law, Martha Sue and Ed Keegan of Rockwall, Texas, Jane and Jan Carlson of Stillwater; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, with the Rev. Sungsu Hwang officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
