Charles Lenard Johnson, 94, of Lehi died Friday, March 2, 1984 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Jan 18, 1890 in Lehi, the son of Charles Ferdinand Johnson and Jane Chelton Johnson. He married Jennie Christina Peterson in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sept. 29. 1909. She died Jan. 23, 1974. He married Edit Webb on Jan. 31, 1976. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served in many positions. He owned and operated Johnson General Store in Lehi for 40 years and also the Busy Corner Store in Pleasant Grove. He was also involved in real estate in Salt Lake City. Survivors include his wife of Lehi, four daughters; Helen Owens, Orem; Mrs. Howard C. (Inez) Nielsen, American Fork; Mrs. Mark (Lucile) White, Lehi; Mrs. Dean (Betty) Barnhurst, Las Vegas; three step-sons, Leon Webb, Arlo Webb, and Glen Webb of Lehi; two step-daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Nyla) Oliphant, Ivins; Mrs. Neil (Jana) Newbold, West Jordan; 18 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary of Lehi where friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
