Jefferson City News-Tribune (MO) - Monday, January 31, 2000: Mary Estelle "Stella" Knaebel, 97, Jefferson City, died Jan. 29, 2000, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born Aug. 10, 1902, in St. Louis, a daughter of Robert and Anne Renn Knaebel. She attended Mount Hope School, St. Peter Catholic School and Immaculate Conception School. She was employed by Cliborn Dry Goods and then worked as a bookkeeper at automobile dealerships in Hollywood, Fla., and Gallup, N.M., until her retirement in 1967. She was a charter member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was a member of St. Ann Sodality. She was a member of Business and Professional Women, Gallup. Survivors include: one brother, Louis Knaebel, Burbank, Calif.; and one sister, Emily Rose Meyer, Bonnots Mill. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Timothy M. Tatro will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Samaritan Center or to a charity of the donor's choice.
