Bernadette died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Osceola Good Samaritan Center. Bernadette T. Jaixen was born February 19, 1913 in St. Bernard, Nebraska to Ignatz and Rose (Remm) Beller. She received her education at St. Bernard and Lindsay. She worked in Omaha before marrying Leonard Jaixen on February 16, 1935 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Omaha. They farmed near Platte Center until moving into Columbus in 1961. Bernadette worked at Dale Electronics from 1962 until 1978. She was a member of St. Bonaventure, F.M.U., and the quilting ladies. Bernadette sewed baptismal bibs for many years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards and crocheting. Bernadette is survived by: daughter: Myra Rogan of Columbus daughter: Nancy (Dave) Hobscheidt of Keota, IA daughter: Linda Jaixen of Columbus, NE sister: Mildred Babel of Humphrey, NE 3 grandchildren: Rachel, Chris, Curt & wife Lisa Hobscheidt 4 great grandchildren: Cale, Taytum, Oliver, Jaixen Hobscheidt She was preceded in death by: Parents, husband: Leonard, son: Larry Brothers: Florence, Vincent, Walter Beller Sisters: Adeline Mirr, Loretta Schmidt, Noreen Unger, Louella Schmidt
