Bio
J. Robert "Bob" Wylie, age 65, of Palestine, Texas died September 12, 1994, in Palestine. Burial was at Rock Church Cemetery in the Blackfoot community. He was born June 30, 1929, in Huntsville, Texas to William Elisha and Virginia Pearl "Virgie" (Burke) Wylie. Mr. Wylie was a member of the Swanson Hill United Methodist Church. He was first employed with Missouri-Pacific Railroad in 1947 and worked in the car shops until 1958, when he went to work for Knox Glass Containers in maintenance until its close in 1984. In 1985, he began working for Anderson County Garage. He was shop foreman at the time of his death. He was a member of the Texas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William Alonzo Wylie in 1977. He is survived by his wife, Anita Lois Alford Wylie. They were married July 13, 1949.
