Clyde Ray Wright (September 27, 1922 - July 17, 2015) Clyde Ray Wright, age 92, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015, at Colonial Tyler Care Center. Military funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory, Texas. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Church Cemetery, in Emory, Texas. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. Glenn Cogburn will officiate. Clyde was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1922, in Dallas, Texas, to Willie Jasper "Willie" Wright and Anna Cornelia "Cornelia" Floyd Wright. He married Opal Beatrice Fleming in Emory, Texas, on Friday, February 14, 1941. He proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army during World War II, fighting in seven different countries during his service in the military. After the U.S. Army, he worked as an Aircraft Mechanic with LTV Aerospace for many years. Survivors include daughter, Barbara Ann Wright Scott of Sacramento, California; daughter-in-law, Amy Wright Smith and husband Royce of Flint, Texas; grandchildren -- Sherri Etemad, Glenda Whisenhunt, Car men Nunn, Toni Petty, and Natalie Collins; great-grandchildren -- Michelle Wagner, Krystal Durrett, Jesse Bowman, Preston Nunn, Timothy Nunn, Kayla Vickers, Abby Petty, Caleb Petty, Rachel Petty, Faith Petty, Alexis Collins, Taylor Collins, and Tommy Joye Collins; great-great-granddaughter, Marlee Brown; and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded by his parents Willie Jasper "Willie" Wright (1877-1964) and Anna Cornelia "Cornelia" Floyd Wright (1886-1975); wife Opal Beatrice Fleming Wright (1924-2004); infant son, Monte Ray Wright (1948-1948); son, Thomas Wayne Wright (1951- 2009); sisters -- Inez, Agnes, Elsie, Hazel, Florence, and Mamie; and brothers -- Alvin, Ryon, Tommy, and George.
