Inez Ruth McDonald Holmes McClanahan Married Charles Huey Holmes on Sept 8, 1928. Married Lee Wood McClanahan on Jan 10, 1987 in Anderson Co, TX. ~ Services for Inez McDonald Holmes McClanahan, 86, Montalba, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Palestine, with the Rev. Roger Butler officiating. Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery. Mrs. McClanahan died Sunday afternoon in a Woodville hospital. She was born February 25, 1909, in Hamilton County to the late Chester McDonald and Bertz Ford McDonald and was a retired sales clerk for Athena Furniture. She was a member of Tennessee Colony Baptist Church and member and Past Worthy Matron of Tennessee Colony Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 102. She graduated from Wellington, Texas High School with the Class of 1927 as their Valedictorian. Mrs. McClanahan was preceded in death by two husbands, Huey Holmes, in 1983, and Wood McClanahan, in 1992; a son, Charles Holmes; sister, Ruby Tarbell; and brothers, Chester McDonald, C.H. McDonald, and Albert McDonald. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Holmes, Montalba; daughter-in-law, Linda Holmes, Forney; sister, Bea Betha, Woodville; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
