Janet Effle, Age 3, Passes Away March 12 Funeral services were conducted Saturday at St. Ludger Catholic church for Janet Marie Effle, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Effle of Walnut. The Mass of the Angels was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph B. Falke. Burial was in St. Ludger cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Tharnish, uncle; Jerry Mathine, Bill Stolp and Donald Effle, cousins of the deceased. Janet Marie Effle was born Sept. 1, 1948 and passed away March 12, in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Norfolk after several weeks of illness at the age of three years, six months and 12 days. Survivors are her parents; three brothers, James, Bruce and David; grandparents, Mrs. Hilda Effle and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tharnish; great grandparents, Mrs. Elizabeth Tharnish and Mrs. Mort Voires of Marion, Ind. ...The Creighton News 20 March 1952
