Son of Benjamin & Hulda (Smith) Sautter. Married to: 1. Ila Lawrence on 12-26-1945 at Scotia, NE. 2. Kandy Louise Klingelhoefer on 3-4-1974 at Kearney, NE. Was a driver's license examiner and an agent for Farmers Insurance Group. He became a deputy sheriff for Buffalo County in 1960. He was elected Buffalo County sheriff in 1966 and served until 1973. After 1973, he owned and operated Sautter Sales and Service until his retirement
