Bio
Funeral service for James E. Luckett, age 72, of Emory, will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013, 10:00 am at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Mike McNair will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm. Pallbearers are Randy Barker, Bryan Luckett, Tony Boyer, Tommy Boyer, Nolan House, and Bernard Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Greenville Fire Department, and the Emory Livestock Commission James was born April 2, 1941, in Dallas to Clifford Clyde and Eura Mae Barker Luckett. He married Mary Helen Spencer in Point on Aug.13, 1961. James retired from the Greenville Fire Dept. in 1987. Survived by: Wife: Mary Helen Luckett of Emory Daughters: Pam Fenter and husband Danny of Celina, Carla Bradshaw and husband Paul of Winnsboro Sister: Judy Cooke of Emory Sister-in-law: Barbara Jean Luckett of Mesquite Grandchildren: Ashley Ferrell, Colby Fenter, Chelsey Fenter, Morgan McAree, and Katelyn Tyler Great-Grandchildren: Dylan Fenter, and Colton Ferrell Numerous other loving family and a host of friends Preceded by: Parents; 2 Brothers: Joe Pat Luckett, and L.B.
