Louise LaTurner Epperson (18 March 1923 - 06 August 2013) Louise LaTurner-Epperson passed away at National Health Care, Joplin, MO on Tuesday August 6, 2013. Louise was born in Galena, KS on March 18, 1923 to her parents, George R. and Cora M. (Bachman) LaTurner. On December 12, 1955, she was united in marriage with Orville W. Epperson in Miami, OK. She spent all of her life in the Galena area, working mostly as a nurse's aide at Barker Rest Home, as well as Galena Manor. She was a member of Central Christian Center of Joplin, and previously a member of Sixth Street Baptist Church of Galena. She enjoyed dancing, especially at hootenannies, and loved her time with her grandkids. A Graveside Service will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery on Monday August 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Doug Wilkerson will officiate. Visiting hours will take place from 2-4:00 PM on Sunday at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena.
