Bio
George V. Magnuson, 78, of 4309 Maybelle Dr., died in a Houston Hospital Wednesday. He was a retired employee of the Texas State Board of Control, a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, and has been a resident of Austin many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Viva Lee Magnuson of Austin; three sons, Gaylord Magnuson of Austin, Donald L. Magnuson of Houston and George E. Magnuson of Richardson; seven brothers, Nils Magnuson, Rudolph Magnuson, Hartwin Magnuson, and Edwin Magnuson, all of Manor; Eric Magnuson and Bert Magnuson, both of Austin and Vernor Magnuson of Houston and eight grandchildren. Funeral is pending at Hyltin-Manor Funeral Home.
