Funeral for Steve Svetlik, 82, Friday Funeral services for Steve F. Svetlik, 82, of Route 3, Weimar, were held Friday, January 26, from St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the parish cemetery. Rev. Charles Carolan and Rev. John Peters officiated. Mr. Svetlik, a retired farmer, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 23, at Youens Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient the past month. Born Dec. 20, 1896, at Ammannsville, he was a son of Joseph and Amalia (Sugovsky) Svetlik. He married Agnes Witte on July 5, 1922, at St. Michael's Church. His wife survives, along with two sons, Edgar Svetlik of Fresno, Calif., and Steve A. Svetlik of Weimar; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Rooney and Mrs. Carl Christen both of Weimar; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Stock of Weimar. Three sisters and one brother preceded him in death. Pallbearers were Carl O. Christen Jr., Ronald Christen, Craig Svetlik and Bob Jurak, grandsons; and Edwin Stock and Frank Krahl, nephews.
