Bio

Spouse: Mariam Evalena Richard He was a member of the Odd Fellows at Lyons and of the Encampment in Longmont. Surviving besides the widow are two sons, C. Floyd Smith and Eugene J. Smith, both of Lyons; three daughters, Mrs. George (Gertrude) Bickman of LaSalle, Mrs. Frank (May) Sager of Merino, and Mrs. Betty Gehrig of Fort Morgan. There are 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Last January Excelsior Rebekah Lodge No. 30 of Lyons gave a surprise party honoring the birthdays of Mrs. Smith, which is Dec. 30, and that of her husband, the following day. Five generations of the Smith family were in attendance.
