Bio

The stone is difficult to read in several places. The stone and inscription had been weathering for well over 150 years at the time the gravestone photo attached was taken in June of 2012. It appears at first glance that William died in 1816, but it is actually 1846. If you look closely at the original photo, you can vaguely see the outline of the rest of the 4. The age is actually 49 years, though at first glance it looks like 19 years. The vague outline of this '4' can be seen in the original photo as well. The middle initial 'B' is also difficult to notice if you don't look closely. Birth date is calculated from the inscription. [The following information was provided by Find-A-Grave contributors Kevin & Belva Dodd:] William B Moore's wife Huldah Ann (Hunnicutt) Moore is buried at W. W. Glover Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Date of marriage on Huldah's grave marker is July 23, 1821; however, the Illinois State Archives' online Illinois Statewide Marriage Index lists their date of marriage as July 24, 1821 in Greene County, Illinois.
