Bio

George Jacob Slaugh was born in Philadelphia to Margaretha Hammon (abt. 1794-1887) and John Jacob Slaugh (1788-abt. 1855). On November 19, 1850, he married Mary Magdeline Ivory in Kensington, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their children: John Henry 1852-1919, Sarah Ellen 1854-1885, Isaac Ivory 1851-1914, Michael Bowman 1859-1861, Jacob 1860-1860, Mary Bowman 1861-1944, Benjamin Croft 1866-1945. He also married Martha Nerdin (1849-1868) on February 16, 1867 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had one child who was born and died in 1868.
