"Funeral Services for Martha Weiler, wife of Valentine Weiler, will be held at the home, 726 Elmwood avenue, at 9:30 Wednesday morning. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. She was the daughter of Mrs. Katherine Hegg.Lincoln Star, Oct 15, 1918,Pg2, Col.2. "Nineteen Deaths Since Yesterday..Spanish Influenza..There are now 1,094 known cases in the city (Lincoln) and many more not reported..There will probably be sixty more reported this afternoon...Red cards indicating that a patient is sick in the home with influenza are being placed on every home.
