Rolfe George Lundgren, 83, of Graettinger, Iowa died Tuesday, February 12, 1991 at Palo Alto County Hospital, Emmetsburg, Iowa. Services were held 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Graettinger, with Father Paul Kelly officiating. Burial was at St. Jacob's Catholic Cemetery. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Graettinger handled the arrangements. Rolfe George Lundgren, son of Albert T. and Ellen Hagstrom Lundgren was born April 16, 1907 at Ayrshire, Iowa. He was married to Frances I. Stewart on October 2, 1935 at Graettinger. The couple lived and farmed east of Graettinger for thirteen years, where Mr. Lundgren also represented Pioneer Seed. He was them employed by the Graettinger Lumber Yard until he retired in 1972. Mrs. Lundgren died on October 19,1988. Rolfe was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Graettinger. Survivors are two daughters: Jean Wagner and husband Eugene of West Bend, and Betty Johnson and her husband of Carroll, Iowa; three brothers and three sisters: Mrs. Wesley (Irene) Anderson of Wallingford, Vivian Bonstead of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Kenny (Marie) Sampson of Sac City, Ellis Lundgren and wife, Kirsten of Des Moines, Glen Lundgren and wife, Marvis of Ringsted and Bob Lundgren and wife Carol of Wallingford; also 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Joseph Dean, who died in 1941, one grandson, Randy Wagner, who died in 1984, his parents, two brothers, Roy and Chet, and two-sisters, Vera and Ruby.
