Joe Arnold Wentrcek, 93, of Georgetown passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009. A memorial service celebrating Joe's faith and life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 11:00AM at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church, 104 Church Street, Liberty Hill, Texas. Joe was born January 12, 1916 in Granger, Texas to the late Joe Frank and Victoria Blazek Wentrcek. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Irna Rokhol Wentrcek, sister, Cecilia Carlson and brothers, Julius and Daniel Wentrcek. Joe served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a longtime member of the Liberty Hill Masonic Lodge #432, AF & AM, The Austin Scottish Rite Bodies, The Burnet Chapter of The Order of The Eastern Star, and The American Legion. Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his nieces and nephews, Doris Schroeder and her husband Vernon and their children of Austin, J. T. Ellason and his wife Jackie of Georgetown, Paul Wentrcek of Redwood City, California, Lynn Jensen and her husband Erick of San Leandro, California, Vickie Overpeck and her husband Dan and their children of Bosque, New Mexico, Debbie Stewart and her husband Richard and their children of Vancouver, Washington Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Joe's name should do so to Liberty Hill Methodist Church or The Wesleyan Retirement Home of Georgetown, Texas.
