Bio

L. D. Patterson L. D. Patterson, 88, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in Corsicana. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason York, Timmy Keele, Tony Holt, Chuck Sears, David Lewis and Joey Rose. Honorary pallbearers will be retired employees of Texas Highway Department. Mr. Patterson was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Patterson. Survivors include his daughters, Carolyn Dennis and husband Danny of Corsicana, Marilyn Garrett and husband Dave of Navarro Mills and Joy Bottoms of Corsicana; sons, Elton Raney and wife Linda of Corsicana, Steven Raney and wife Ginger of Mart, Robert Raney of Corsicana and Walter Cantrell and wife Carol of Chandler; niece, Sammie Pratt Messenger of Corsicana; nephew, Bryan McDonald of Purdon; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and relatives.
