Herbert Quentin Bahr MURRAY -- Herbert Q. Bahr, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away July 29, 1999 at Cottonwood Hospital from complications of a stroke. Born February 13, 1921 in American Fork, Utah to Albert Andrew and Jessie Butt Bahr. On December 21, 1951 he married Elva Florence Peterson in the Manti LDS Temple. Served an LDS Mission to Texas Louisiana from 1946-1948, where he met his wife. Veteran of World War II, United States Army, serving in the Africa and European Campaigns. Worked in the restaurant equipment business for many years. He served in many church callings and the children in his ward loved him. Survived by his wife; children, Ralph (JoAnn) of West Valley, Vaughn (Julie) of Sandy, Wayne (Laurie) of Murray; 11 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Francis, Orem, UT; Cecil, Salem, OR; LaVere, Leavenworth, KS; Iris Despain, Caldwell, ID; Alice Babiracki, Grenada Hills, CA; Leona Rowley, SLC, UT. Preceded in death by a daughter, Renee; grandson, Joshua; parents and five brothers. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 3, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. in the Murray 3rd ward chapel, 4600 South Brown Street. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street and Tuesday from 12 noon to 1:15 p.m. at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
