Bio

McQUEENE Cynthia D. - May 30, 1907 - Mrs. Cynthia D. McQueene, of Sligo, was born in Sussex county, N.J. August 29, 1838 and died May 19, 1907 in her 79th year. At the age of five years she removed with her parents to western Pennsylvania where she resided until the time of her death. In early childhood she sought and found peace, united with the church of her choice and remained a consistent member up to the close of life. Her experience was always clear and definite. A constant seeker after the truth, her knowledge of the scriptures was much in advance of the average. With patience and christian grace she waited until her transfer from the church militant to the church triumphant came, and without pain or anguish she passed out into the life beyond. At the age of 22 she united in marriage with Thomas McQueene, who preceded her to his final resting place two years ago. To this union four children were born, Clarence 0., Rev. Glenrole, Mrs. Grace Richy. Funeral services were held in the Mt. Zion church conducted by Rev. M.B. Riley of Callensburg. The remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Zion cemetery to await the call of the just.
