Mrs. Katie (Katherine)(Dvorak) Bartu, wife of Frank Bartu, living northeast of Milligan, Nebraska died yesterday morning, 20 February 1903, after a short illness. She was born 25 November, 1852 at ________. Surviving are her husband Frank, and six children: Joseph, Frances (Mrs. Vaclav Urban); Fred' Mary (Mrs. Anton Preucil); William; and Frank. Preceding her in death and buried at the North Cemetery, Milligan Nebraska, were other children Frank, William, James, Emily and another infant daughter who died at birth. She was also buried at the same cemetery. Another entry: Mrs. Katie Bartu, aged forty-eight, wife of Frank Bartu, living northeast of town, died yesterday morning after a short illness. The deceased leaves a husband and six children to mourn her loss.
