Bio

Douglas "M.C." Ashworth, 70, of Rosepine, LA, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2013. He was born April 25, 1943 in Cravens, LA. M.C. was a lifelong resident of Rosepine, LA, where he left his legacy. He is survived by his wife of 50 years of Rosepine, LA; three daughters and sons-in-law; four sisters; one brother and sister-in-law of Anacoco, LA; ten grandkids, ten great grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his homecoming by his mother, Hazel Ashworth; father, Frank Ashworth; brothers, Ruben, JT and Edward Ashworth and sister, Dorothy Cooper. The family would like to thank Rosepine Retirement Center and Hospice for their care and kindness. Funeral services were on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Providence Baptist Church. Burial followed at Providence Cemetery. Bro. Jeff James and Bro. Arlen Smith officiated. Services were under Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, La.
