Freda Adams, age 66, of Wake Village, Texas, formerly of Atlanta, Texas passed away, Saturday, June 22, 2013, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospital. Freda was born March 9, 1947, in Meridian, Texas, to Hubert and Matilda Rice. She was retired from Regions Bank with thirty years of service; attended Eylau Methodist Church; and loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert G. Rice; and two brothers, Bobby Rice and Joe Rice. She is survived by her husband, Bill Adams of Wake Village, Texas; one daughter, Debbie Gullett and husband Matt of Shreveport, Louisiana; mother, Matilda Rice of Clifton, Texas; two brothers, W. C. Rice and wife Marcy of Clifton, Texas, Rodney Rice and wife JoAnn of Clifton, Texas; three sisters, Thelma White and husband Wayne of Lincoln, Nebraska, Becky Elmore and husband Nathan of Arlington, Texas, Susan Brown of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, Tyler Cook and Garett Cook both of Shreveport, Louisiana; sister in law, Anna Doris of Waco, Texas and a number of nieces and nephews and other family. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Forest Park West Cemetery, Shreveport, Louisiana, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Rev. Brenda Lucas officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Hanner Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
