Elizabeth Reynolds Purcell, 95, died on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Parks Methodist Nursing Home. She was born to the late Samuel and Mattie Smith in Cumby , Tx. on December 13, 1917. Elizabeth will be remembered for her bright smile and loving heart. She was like a ray of sunshine to everyone she met! Preceding her in death are her parents husbands, Herman C. Reynolds and Thomas E. Purell; parents, Samuel and Mattie Smith; one son, Jimmy S. Reynolds; one brother, Jack Smith; three sisters, Faye Quarey, Thelma Peacock and Jimmie Neighbors. Left to cherish her memory is one son, Herbert C. Reynolds of Odessa; one brother, Leon Smith of Lake Jackson, Tx.; three grandchildren, Michael C. Reynolds, Douglas B. Reynolds and Deboroah D. Reynolds all of Odessa; and five great grandchildren, Ashely Gambo, Johnathan Reynolds, Triston Reynolds, Paige Reynolds and Makayla Reynolds; two great, great grandchildren, Jordyn and Jacop Gambo. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 at 10:00 AM at American Heritage Cemetery and Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to American Heritage Cemetery and Funeral Home at West Texas Memorial Park.
