Fort Bend Herald, September 28, 2005: Funeral services for Robert P. Kuban Jr., 76, of Needville, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with the Rev. Jim Aubey officiating the services. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Robert was born Jan. 23, 1929 in Needville, to Robert Paul and Pauline (Fojtik) Kuban Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Robert worked at Texas Gulf where he retired after 33 years of service and also farmed all his life. He was a member of the St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Needville, the American Legion No. 271 and the VFW No. 3903. Robert enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing. He was admired for his strength and determination while living life to the fullest. Robert passed away Sept. 26, 2005, after a long time battle with lung cancer and emphysema in Needville, with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Kuban Sr. Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Willie Mae Kuban; children: Marilyn Rehak and husband Michal, Robert Paul Kuban III and wife Rosemary, Cynthia Ischy and husband Ed, and Donald Kuban and wife Teresa; grandchildren: Michelle and Miranda Rehak, Tiffany Kuban, Tami Shilt and husband Todd, Tara Way and husband Matt, Kyle Kramer, Samantha Ischy, Christopher, Kayla and Cameron Kuban; great-granddaughter Mersady Pownall-Kuban; brother Edward Kuban; sisters: Pauline Shrum, Jeannette Rosenbaum; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the Interactive Hospice or St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd. in Rosenberg. 281-341-8800.
