Bio

Eloise Evelyn Orsak, of Hillje, passed away on February 14, 2013 at the age of 97. She was born on September 14, 1915 to John N. and Agnes Bacak Orsak . Eloise was born and raised in the Plainview community. During WWII, she moved to El Campo with her parents. She worked at Netardus Pharmacy until leaving to care for her parents. After their deaths, she worked as a private duty sitter for the elderly. She loved to crochet and made several hundred crocheted caps for the children at MD Anderson hospital. She also supported St. Jude Children's Hospital. Eloise's favorite hobbies were fishing, reading, and driving fast. Although she did not have children of her own, she loved all children. This was evident by the wall of pictures in her nursing home room that included not only her family, but the children of the staff as well. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families. Eloise is preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters Lilly Kunetka, Agnes Vick, Mary Brown, Emma Gibbes, Bessie Schilhab, John Orsak, Joe A. Orsak and Emil Orsak. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers Evelyn Novak and the staff of Czech Catholic Home for the Aged.
