Bio

Mary O. Brown, 95, of El Campo, died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004. She was born Jan. 23, 1909 in Louise to John N. Orsak and Agnes Bacak. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughter, Beulah Hlavaty of Houston; sister, Eloise Orsak of El Campo; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Evelyn Schilhab; granddaughters, Cathy Lewis and Doris Weems; sisters, Agnes Ann Vick, Lillian Marie Kunetka and Emma M. Gibbes; and brothers, Emil Orsak, John P. Orsak and Joe A. Orsak. Interment at Holy Cross Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Sammy Perteet, James Holcomb, Terry Holcomb, Randy Hlavaty, Shane Lawler, Kent Lewis Jr.
