Bio

Donald Hromas, 82, of Lincoln, NE , died at 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday June 12, 2013. Born January 27, 1931 in Bee, NE, he was the son of the late Fred and Christina (Nemec) Hromas. Don married Evelyn Marie Margritz on November 16, 1953, she survices. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a life time member of the American Legion Post #3 in Lincoln Nebraska. Don was employed at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Lincoln, NE for 36 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Lincoln Nebraska. Don enjoyed his cabin in Colorado, card playing and walking. Surviving with his wife are his two sons; Michael D. (Billie Jan) Hromas of Frankfort, IN and Alan L. (Teresa) Hromas of Kearney, NE; two daughters; Terrie L. (Dale) Fangmeier of Lincoln, NE and Donita M. (Douglas) Zehr of Lee's Summit, MO; a sister Christina Walker of Lincoln, NE and brother Fred (Georgia) Hromas of Omaha, NE, Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Clifford Hromas and Alice Morford. Hippensteel Funeral Home
