Bio
Dolly Dyer was born March 30, 1896 in Phillips, NE. to Luke and Clara (Hall) Collins and died May 30, 1986 at her home in Clinton, Iowa, age 90 years and 2 months. She moved with her family to Decatur County, Iowa in 1904. She married George W. Jones in 1915 in Decatur County, Iowa. He died in 1935. In 1944, she was united in marriage to Albert Dyer, who preceded her in death in 1962. She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sons; two daughters; a brother and four sisters. Surviving are: five sons; George W. Jones and Earl Jones, both of Clinton, Iowa; James Jones, Davenport, Iowa; and John Jones and Lawrence Jones, both of Kansas City, MO.; two daughters; Mae Carson and husband, Robert, Bettendorf, Iowa and Mary Hicks, Kansas City, MO.; 30 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; two brothers Frank Collins, Osceola, Iowa and Myron Colins, Riverside, CA; three sisters ; Ellen Palmer and Beulah Fry, Osceola, Iowa and Myrtle Nelson, Pocatello, Idaho.
