GILMER — Memorial services for Joe Bob Hunter, 55, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with Larry Gilliam and Jeff Bauman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Hunter passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Hunter was born July 13, 1957, in Gilmer, to James Lyndell and Crystel Shaw Hunter. He was a retired business owner, having owned Hunter Woodshop and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gladewater. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Hunter of Gilmer; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Hunter of Gilmer and Eric and Casey Hunter of Liberty City; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Jaycen Woods of Plano; mother and stepfather, Crystel Hunter and Kenneth Watts of Gilmer; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and Marsha Hunter of Palestine and Chris Hunter of Gilmer; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and James Barber of Gilmer; stepbrother and wife, Ken and Michelle Watts of Tatum; stepsisters and husbands, Sherry and Mike King of Trinity, Shelly and Tommy Driver of Longview, Sharon Terrier of Gladewater and Sheila Smith of West Virginia; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Hunter.
