Bio
Lillian Rachael Davis Shipman, 92, of Moss Hill, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013 at Magnolia Place Health Care in Liberty. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, June 7, 2013. A gathering of Lillian's family and friends will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Huffman Cemetery. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents Willie Mae and James Oscar Davis; husband, Oscar Urbin Shipman; daughter, Ruth Ellen Shipman; sister, Addie Bumgardner; and brother,Vanyard Merton Davis. She loved her family and the Liberty radio station, especially Trading Post and church services.
