Joyce "Sue" Lankford, age 69, died Monday, June 3, 2013 in Childress. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2013 in First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad King officiating . Burial will be in Childress Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sue was born June 1, 1944 in Memphis, Texas to William Thomas and Mamie Sue Upton Collins. As a young woman, Sue earned her cosmetology license. She later attended vocational school where she earned her LVN. She had worked both at the local hospital and nursing home. Sue loved her grandchildren and her little dachshund, Trixie. Her favorite passtime was cross stitch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn; and brother, David Collins. Survivors: Son - Darwin Lankford and wife, Tanya, Son - Darrell Lankford and wife Sharlie, Daughter - Delyn Trevino. all of Childress Son-in-law - Reuben Trevino, Amarillo, TX Sister-in-law - Stella Lankford, Amarillo, TX Grandchildren-Austin, Bethany, Dylon, Jonathan, Destinee Devon, Matthew, Ciara, Dacota; and one Great-Grandchild- Blaydon
