Alice M. Diederich, 87, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Moline, passed away March 30, 2011. Graveside services will be held in East Moline at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League Inc., 3519 Drance St., Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte. She was born May 22, 1923, in Wausa, Neb., and moved to Florida in December 1995 from Moline. Mrs. Diederich was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and her dog, Rosie. Survivors include her daughters, Gaileen (Robert) Conover, Punta Gorda, Jane (Jack) Schneckcloth, Dothan, Ala.; sons, David, Punta Gorda, Richard (Pam), Carbon Cliff, Jonathan (Melanie), Moline; former daughter-in-law, Deborah Lewis, LeClaire; sister, Lois Radovich, Moline; brother, Cliff Skalberg, Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
