King/Huigens A very pretty wedding was solemnized at St. Ludgerus Catholic church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, when Miss Margaret Huigens and Mr. Ivan King were united in marriage by Rev. Father Windolph. They were attended by Miss Emily Huigens, sister of the bride and Austin King, a brother of the groom. The bride was gowned in a simple dress of white crepe meteor and carried a shower bouquet of roses and orange blossoms. The bridesmaid wore a gown of white crepe de chine and carried white carnations. A sumptuous wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Huignes to the relatives of the bride and groom. These young people are well and favorably known, having grown from childhood in our midst. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed King of Winnetoon and is a prosperous young farmer, living six miles northwest of Creighton. His bride is one of Creighton's most excellent young ladies, her happy disposition and womanly ways winning warm friends wherever known. She is a graduate of St. Ludgerus Academy and an accomplished young lady. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life together. They left on the afternoon train for Norfolk and Omaha on a short wedding trip. ...The Creighton News 19 June 1913
