Untitled Document Found Comfort In Sorrow As our kind editor has invited us to come again and bring more interesting topics, thought I would add my mite. Let's write more on home, and how to teach our children, so when they get old they won't depart from it. Sister, I have experienced much joy and sorrow since I last wrote the Century. On Feb. 2, 1913, I gave up a darling boy, age 8 years. On Feb. 4, I gave up another darling boy age 2 years 6 months. Oh, it was so hard to give them up, but Gods will be done, not ours. They died of a dreadful disease Scarlet Fever. I had five more sick with Scarlet Fever at the time, but God spared them. We are promised if we will only trust God he will comfort us. I have been a Christian since I was 14; I am now 32 and I fing the Savior more precious to me every day. If we don't have faith in God, this world would be a dreary place. People were kind to us through or children's sickness and death. Sister lets try to do our duty while here on earth. If we refuse to let God help us do right, we are out of harmony, as it were, with him and heaven. We then came unto harmony with Satan and his angels and when sin is destroyed we must perish with it. Sin makes people unhappy and God hates it because he loves everybody. Happiness can be found only in obedience or doing right. Before sin reached Eden, Adam and Eve knew nothing of evil. This was part of a story that was published in the News Paper. Written by Julia Christie . The children that died of Scarlet Fever were Otis and Arnold.
