Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, November 11, 1965, Page 6, Column 2 Service This Friday For Emil Urban, 79; Died On November 9 Emil Urban, 79, a retired farmer of the Comstock area, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1965 at the Valley County Hospital. He had been in failing health the past three years. Funeral services for Mr. Urban will be held at the Bethany Lutheran Church Friday at 2 pm with Rev. John Nordgaard officiating. Interment will be in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Emil Urban, son of James and Mary Bartu Urban was born near Comstock, Febr. 28, 1886. He lived in and near Comstock, farming in that area until three years ago when they retired and moved to Ord. He and Rosie Kluna were united in marriage, Sept. 2, 1914, at Ord. He was a member of ZCBJ Slavin #112 and also a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church. Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Rosie Tuma, Burwell; one son, Eldon, Los Angeles, Calif.; one grandchild; four great grandchildren; one brother, William of Comstock. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
