Mrs. Mary J. Stengel, wife of Michael Stengel, widely known farmer in the Pleasant View District, died this morning at 7:45 a.m. in the Sanitarium following a three-month illness. Mrs. Stengel had been a resident in Boulder county since 1906. She was born October 16, 1880, in Johnson County, Iowa, to John and Magdalena Schott and was married December 20, 1919, at Los Angeles, Calif. to Michael L. Stengel. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus church of Boulder and the Altar and Rosary Society, the Pleasant View Grange, and the County Garden Club. Surviving besides her husband is a son Charles Stengel of the home; three daughters Mrs. Marie Beauprez of Lafayette, Mrs. Helen Lynch of Grant City, Mo. and Mrs Ann Sherwood of Lakewood; a sister Mrs. Otto Burger of Boulder, and two brothers, Frank Schott of Boulder and Charles Schott of Hills, Ia. There are also seven grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were not completed awaiting word from out of town relatives. Date and hour to be announced later by Howe Funeral Home. Interment was at Green Mountain Cemetery, Courtesy of Boulder Daily Camera. Mary J. Schott married Michael L. Stengel December 31, 1919.
