Bio
Daughter of Moses J. and Martha A.(Newsom) Barrow. Wife of James Madison Chambless. They had eight children: Fannie,Estella, William J., Edward James, Minnie,Louis, Beatrice, Lula May. In 1880 Census Cooke Co. Tx., with James and Amanda Chambless is list of their children, Minnie is 2 1/2 years old. Family story states she was born 11 March 1880 and died Sept. 1881. I did not find a tombstone for her. Schmidt family plot in Dawn Meadow, Lot 37. The only marked grave in this plot is an infant cradle in Grave 1 on the left. There are two infants in Grave 1, Infant Boy Chambless, son of Henry and Martha (Weaver) Chambless and Infant Girl Schutte, daughter of Myles Gus Schutte and Thelma (Graham) Schutte, but the only inscription is for Infant Chambless. In addition to Infant Chambless and Infant Schutte, this plot also includes Rudolph D. Schmidt, Amanda Eliza Chambless, Hubert Wilson Chambless, Johnie Lloyd, Jr., and Louis Edward Lloyd, all in unmarked graves.
