Obit: Della A. Vinklarek Bordovsky Mrs. Della A. Bordovsky of Cistern passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the age of 91. She was born in Cistern May 25, 1921 to the late Sophie Mares and Charlie Vinklarek. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Bordovsky of Cistern, and Stanley Bordovsky and wife Catherine of Houston; one daughter, Lorene McMayon and husband Andy of Houston; two brothers, Eugene Vinklarek and Alvin Vinklarek both of Cistern; three sisters, Cora Ann Meuth of Paige, Dorothy Vinklarek of Cistern, and Flo Vinklarek of Austin; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie A. Bordovsky; two brothers and four sisters. Visitation will begin at 2 pm Friday, May 17, 2013 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Flatonia. Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm Friday, May 17, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flatonia. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, with viewing from 9:00 am to 9:45 am, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Cistern with Father Eddie Winkler officiating.
